Personal data
Personal data are data that may be used in order to learn the identity of a person, for instance name, address, postal address and phone number. Information which may not be directly linked to the true identity of a person (for instance favourite web sites or the number of users of a site) is no personal data.
Storage of access data
On every request of a file on my homepage, the operator of the web server, currently 
hostfactory in Seuzach, Switzerland, stores some access data. Every record contains the follwowing data:
- the filename,
- date and time of the request,
- the number of bytes transmitted,
- the status code (file transmitted, file not found etc.),
- a description of the type of your webbrowser,
- your IP address,
- the URL of the referring website.
I will use the data provided by the server operators for statistical purposes only and not pass it on to third parties as long as I am not forced to do so by law.
